After graduating in 1981 with a degree in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis, Mr. Barnes worked as a legal assistant at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office before obtaining his law degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1986.
Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1986, Mr. Barnes has over 25 years of experience as a trial attorney in Florida. Mr. Barnes has successfully litigated civil, business and construction disputes for clients that include general contractors, subcontractors, material equipment suppliers, and both commercial and residential owners. Mr. Barnes, Board Certified in Construction Law, has represented construction contractors, and applicants for construction licenses, before the Construction Industry Licensing Board.
